The CONSTANT GARDENER - John le Carre

A heart wrenching and challenging book, which delves into the morality of drug trials in African Countries where drug trials are secretly conducted on the poorest of the poor.

The book takes you on an emotional ride of the widower of a murdered activist who uncovers a shocking trial for a TB-drug.

An incredible story about the change that occurs in his own life as he retraces the steps of his murdered wife and ultimately awakens from his seeming ignorance and ‘colonial’ complacency.

DIGITAL FORTRESS - Dan Brown

Brilliantly written. Although it was another of Dan Brown’s novels (The Da Vinci Code) which achieved most of the recognition, this is still one of my favourite of his novels, probably only second to ‘Angels and Demons’.

Digital Fortress was the first Dan Brown novel I read, and it introduced me to an exceptional writer and a mesmeric storyteller.
The story follows a cryptographer (code-breaker) of the National Security Agency who has uncovered a complex code which has been designed to cripple U.S Intelligence. Basically cyber-terrorism.

Conspiracy theorists will love the book, but it’s so plausible, and unbelievably riveting, that anyone would battle to take a break from reading.
